Divorced Dad Rock
Welcome to Divorced Dad Rock (DDR), the tactical trading card game where you battle for custody of the Main Stage.
ABOUT: DDR blends the tactical depth of the Big Three TCGs with the degenerate, unhinged aesthetic of the rock n roll lifestyle. You are a Frontman managing your Volume (which goes to 11) to summon Bandmates, equip Gear, and unleash emotional Baggage to reduce your opponent’s Ego to zero.
From the Sticky-Floor Dive Bar to the Mega-Church Youth Hall, you’ll fight through a Story Mode fueled by lukewarm lager and mid-life crises.
WEB: The web version is not a accurate representation of the full game. The web version has glitches, particle effects don't render correctly, cards selected and highlighted don't show up, and the frame rate is reduced.
DEMO: I did run this on my laptop that has an old i7 and only 128mb of GPU and the game does run decent on it despite not having a real GPU at about 30-35FPS. The VFX for card highlights are off though, without a GPU they fall back to a different version. I'll work on refining that in the future.
KEY FEATURES:
Pick Your Genre: Master the graveyard recursion of the Post-Grunge Grunters, the wide-board buffs of the Radio Rockers, or the self-destructive aggro of the Nu-Metal Agitators. (More genres to come)

Turn It Up to 11: utilize the Amp resource system where your mana cap grows every turn - because it goes to 11.
Weaponized Trauma: Play Baggage cards (Traps) face-down. Trigger Mountains of Debt or Child Support to ruin your opponent’s flow.

Gear: Outfit your crew for the main stage with Gear, the essential equipment needed to survive a grueling gig.

Venues: Set the stage with Venues, game-changing field cards that alter the rules of engagement for both players . These locations impose global effects

Roadmap:
Here a few things I have in mind to add sooner than later.
-Hidden Track Log: Setup the Hidden Track combo log in the main menu showing you all the hidden tracks you have discovered. The undiscovered ones will be blacked out.
-AI Logic: The computer player logic is pretty basic and needs an overhaul. This will make the game harder so it maybe the time to add a difficulty setting after.
-More Story Missions
-Frontman selection and unlocks.
-Green Room Collab: I'm looking to move legendary Bandmates to a side deck that can only be summoned by sacrificing a few bandmates on the stage. This is the last major gameplay mechanic I have yet to implement.
-Deck Builder: Not much to say about this one. I know it will be highly anticipated.
